Overview

K2, also (known as Chogori, Ketu, Kechu & Mt. Godwin-Austen), is the second highest mountain after Mt. Everest. Did you know that K2 is amongst the most difficult & notorious mountain peaks for climbers due to its unforgiving terrain, which lies in the Karakoram range of Pakistan. The south ridge route is mostly preferred by climbers, while others opt for the Polish line or the Northwest ridge. This as a result led to its nickname as the Savage mountain. The summit of K2 saw its first visitors in 1955 who were Italian mountaineers by the name - Lino Lacadelli & Achille Compagnoni.
