Overview

Lobuche peak is a well known mountain peak in the Khumbu glacier of Nepal (under Sagarmatha national park) positioned in the southeast of Mt.Everest while the Lobuche village is located in the southwest part, which happens to be a picturesque Sherpa village. It is interesting to note that Lobuche peak saw its first climb in 1984 by Gyalzen Sherpa and Laurence Neilson. Were you aware that the western peak is more challenging to climb than the eastern face and as a result climbers prefer taking the south ridge route to reach the east face of Lobuche?. It is one of the most preferred treks in Nepal and climbing this peak requires excellent mountaineering skills.
