Overview

Mount Baruntse is popular among adventurers as it is one of the most accessible mountain peaks in Nepal, under the 7000 m category, flanked by Hunku glacier on the south and Barun glacier on the east. Baruntse is located between Mount Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Did you know that Mt.Baruntse saw its first expedition in 1954 by Colin Todd, Geoff Harrow. A major part of the expeditions to Baruntse peak take place from the south-eastern side. If you intend to climb Baruntse, then you can be assured that there won’t be many mountaineers on the way, since this mountain is one of the remote peaks. It would be beneficial if climbers have previous experience of mountaineering so that the expedition becomes a little easier.
