Overview

Pumori peak is amongst the famous peaks in Nepal, quite popular with climbers and adventurers, which is about eight kilometres away from Mt.Everest. It lies in the Khumbu region of Nepal which lies close to the border of Nepal and Tibet. Pumori was first climbed in 1962 by Gerhard Lenser Sherpas refer to Pumori as the unmarried daughter. As a climber you need to be physically strong and mentally prepared to feel Pumori peak. Once on the summit, you can get some hazy views of Mt. Everest and Lhotse.     DAY 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu & transfer from airport to the hotel.

    DAY 2

    Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley

    DAY 3

    Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (30 min.) & trek to Phakding which takes 4 hours to cover a distance of 7 km. We will rest in Phakding (2610 m / 8613 ft.)

    From Phakding we will trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m / 11286 ft), which takes 5 hours to cover a distance of 9 km. Lunch, dinner and accommodation will be in Namche

    DAY 5

    Namche Bazaar acclimatisation day.

    DAY 6

    We will begin our trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867 m / 12860 ft), which takes 2 hours. It’s a rest day in the beautiful Tengboche region.

    DAY 7

    After breakfast, we will start our trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410 m / 14469 ft ), which takes 3 hours to cover a distance of 11 km. Rest day in Dingboche with lunch and dinner at the accommodation

    DAY 8

    Will begin our day by having breakfast and trekking to Chhukung village ( that is about 1.5 hours to cover a distance of 4 km). Chhukung is a scenic village with stone laden walls and exhilarating views.

    DAY 9

    This day we will trek from Chhukung to Lobuche (4950 m / 16210 m), covering a distance of 22 km in 6 hours. The day is spent at the accommodation

    DAY 10

    Time to head to Pumori base camp (5300 m / 17388 ft.) , covering a distance of 7 km in 3 hours.

    DAY 11-24

    This is the climbing period to Mt. Pumori (7161 m / 23495 ft)

    We will make our way to Pangboche and stay for the night in the lodge, by covering a distance of 20 km in 5 hours

    After breakfast, make our way from Pangboche to Namche, with a trek time of 4 hours. Night accommodation at a comfy lodge.

    After breakfast, we shall begin our trek from Namche to Lukla, which takes 5 hours via Phakding. We shall spend the evening in Lukla.

    It will be a morning flight back to Kathmandu.

    Leisure day in Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner.
